Frequently Asked Questions

Why does an aged care facility need a tree maintenance plan?

When we create your tree maintenance plan, we'll assess things like the projection of growth of your tree (which may impact service wires, creating fire hazards), potential structural damage, and more.

The maintenance plan will detail the services you need to book, and when you need to book them. If you keep to your tree maintenance plan, you'll minimise the risk of trees and branches falling unexpectedly.

What kind of insurance does Trav's Tree Services have?

We hold an up-to-date Certificate of Currency Combined General and Products Liability Insurance, which covers up to $20 million. Should anything be damaged while our team is attending the site, our insurance covers it. Our arborists are also covered by WorkCover Insurance.

What kind of qualifications does the team have?

Our team of arborists, tree climbers, and groundsmen are highly experienced in the field. They all have the required OH&S certificates to work safely, and our arborists are certified in arboriculture.

We all have a mixed knowledge of horticulture, in addition to arboriculture, so we can identify protected trees and plants with ease.

There are heritage trees within the grounds — do we need a permit?

Yes, you'll need to apply for a tree removal permit to remove or work on any heritage trees. We can help you with the application process. Send us the location of your site, and let us know the species of tree, and we'll tell you what kind of permit you need.
