Insects and pests love to make nests out of tree stumps. If you've recently had a tree removed from your site, you'll want to make sure you remove the stump as well.
We use our stump grinding machine to grind down the stump. We go below the surface of the ground and chip away at the roots, so you won't be able to see the any part of the stump when we are finished.
When you hire us to remove or grind away a tree stump, we'll perform a free on-site evaluation.
Trust our qualified arborists to perform reliable stump grinding services, on time.
We have public liability cover for up to $20 million.
We take all mess with us, and turn all stumps into garden mulch.
We charge competitive prices, and all stump removal costs are transparent.
Send us your name and number, as well as a photo of the stump you'd like to remove, and we'll contact you with advice.
We'll come and inspect your site. We'll let you know what needs to be done, how long the job will take, how much it will cost.
Depending on the job, and the type of site the tree is on, you may need to get a permit. We'll help start the process for you.
On the day, we'll arrive on time and complete the job within the quoted time frame. We'll bring all our own machinery and tools to perform the job.
We'll clean up. We run wood and debris through our wood chipper, which turns it into organic mulch — which you can use for free in your garden.
When we remove a tree stump, we dig down below the earth and pull the tree out by its roots. This process can leave significant damage if your stump is near pavement, a building, or if its roots have settled deep into the earth.
When we grind a stump down, we use a machine which chips away at the wood until we reach around 30 cm below the soil surface. This is a safer and more efficient way to get rid of any unsightly tree stumps on your site.
No, some roots will remain. But we remove any parts of the stump you can see above ground, so it'll feel as though the stump has been removed.
If you're not bothered by it, you can leave your tree stump. But, before long, unwanted pests and insects may invade. Termites and rats love making nests in tree stumps. If termites make a home in your backyard, you can be sure your other trees, or even your home, may be at risk.
If you're on a sloping block, you may need to leave your tree stump–moving it could disrupt the stability of the ground, as well as the structural integrity of surrounding plants. We would cut the stump as low to the ground as possible, and use the grinder to chip away as much as possible without destabilising the area.
We'll assess the size of the tree stump, the species of the tree, the age of the stump, and the amount of time we think it'll take us to do the job. Then we'll give you a quote.
